The story of three Frenchmen, one World Cup, and a promise made somewhere between the 2nd and 5th bar.

The Origin

Summer 2018.
New York City.
France vs. the world.

Vincent, Corentin, and Yannick were living their best lives in New York when Les Bleus went on that run. You remember it. That team. Mbappé at 19. Pogba imperious. Lloris pulling off saves that had no business going in. France was going to win the World Cup — and we were going to watch every single minute.

"We spent more time finding somewhere to watch than actually watching. Bar after bar, we were strangers in a room full of strangers."

Bar after bar after bar. The sound was wrong, or the screen was too small, or no one in the place actually cared. We'd walk in chanting and get blank stares. New York City — one of the greatest football cities in the world — and there was nowhere to truly live the game.

We all grew up with football the same way. Not as spectators — as believers. Going to the stadium as kids, crammed in the stands, learning every chant before we could spell them. Football isn't something you watch. It's something that happens to you.

So when France lifted the trophy that summer, we celebrated — and then we made a decision. The next World Cup, New York would have what it deserved. A proper home for the game. A place where walking through the door means you already belong.

Vincent Meyer

Vincent Meyer

Owner, The House of Football

Vincent grew up in the stands before he understood the rules. By the time he understood them, football was already inseparable from who he was. After years in New York building businesses, he couldn't shake the feeling that the city's football culture deserved better. House of Football is his answer.

Corentin Claisse

Corentin Claisse

Director of Operations

Corentin's football education started in the stadium, continued on Sunday pitches, and never really ended. He brings the same relentless energy to everything he does — the kind of person who stays until the final whistle, no matter the score. At House of Football, that spirit isn't optional. It's the foundation.

Yannick Guillemot

Yannick Guillemot

Director of Digital Experience

For Yannick, football was never just a game — it was the language the people around him spoke. He learned to read a match before he could read a clock. Whatever the moment demanded — a comeback, a penalty shootout, the last minute of extra time — Yannick has always been the one who believed it was possible.

What You'll Find Here
